How to sign invoice PDF with Digital Signature Certificate?

What is a digital signature certificate (DSC)?

A digital signature certificate is a useful way of electronically signing documents and is used by companies in India. It helps companies to encrypt and upload documents on web portals. This certificate can also be used to encrypt personal data and send it securely.

How to enable digital signature certificate in Peakflo?

At the time of Peakflo account setup, depending on your invoicing requirements and company location, the Peakflo team can set up and customize your invoices.

To enable digital signature certificate for invoices, reach out to the Peakflo team at support@peakflo.co and share your Personal Information Exchange (.pfx) file with us.

A Personal Information Exchange (.pfx) Files, is password protected file certificate commonly used for code signing your application.

How is DSC embedded in the invoice PDF in Peakflo?

To sign your invoice PDF with DSC, make sure you have shared the .pfx file with the Peakflo team. After the .pfx file is shared, the invoice PDFs will have the DSC. Let's take a look at how:


1. Go to the "Invoicing" tab under the "Receivables" section and click on "Add Invoice".

2. Once the invoice is issued, you can send it for approval or share it with customers using automated workflows.

3. After the invoice is approved, in the invoice Timeline, you will be able to see the "Digital Signature in Progress" status which means the DSC is getting embedded to the invoice PDF.

4. Once the DSC is embedded, the status will move to "Invoice Digitally Signed". 

Now in the invoice PDF, you will see the digital signature automatically attached. Check the example below:
