Initial Setup
Let's start by customizing your invoice template.
- Login to your Netsuite account
- Go to “Customization” > “Forms” > “Advanced PDF/HTML template”
- Search for your specific “Custom Invoice” template and make sure the preferred box is checked, then click “Edit”
- Add ${record.entity.accountnumber} in the template code and placed them as you want then click “Save” - you might need help from Netsuite technical support to do this
- Go to “Customization” > “Forms” > choose “Transactions Forms”
- Look for your specific “Custom Invoice” form and click “Edit”
- Make sure you choose “Custom Invoice PDF/HTML template” on the “Print Template”
- Finally, click “Save”
Steps to Include your Static VA in your Netsuite Invoices:
- Download template here, and fill the information needed (click here to see Internal ID example)
- Log In to your Netsuite account.
- Go to Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV record.
- Follow the steps of uploading the CSV file, few items need to be aware:
- Import type : choose “Relationships”
- Record type : choose “Customers Only”
- CSV file : One File to Upload, then “Select” to attach the CSV file. After that click “Next”.
- Data Handling : choose “Update”, move to File Mapping
- File Mapping: “Account to Customer : Account” and “Internal ID to Customer : internal ID”
- Field Mapping : You can leave it blank.
- Click “Save and Run” in the bottom right, then choose “Run”
