# How to Correctly Fill in USA Vendor Bank Details and Resolve Errors?
## This guide provides the correct format for each vendor bank detail field in Peakflo. Please make sure all fields follow the format strictly to avoid validation errors during vendor creation or payment processing.
When adding or updating your vendor’s bank details in Peakflo, make sure each field follows the correct format below. If a field doesn’t meet the required format, you’ll see an error message during saving.
### Correct field format
Please fill in the USA Vendor bank details as per the following:
| **Field Name** | **Description / Format** | **Example** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Account Holder** | Must contain 2–200 characters. Letters, numbers, and symbols allowed. | John Doe |
| **Account Number** | Only digits allowed (1–17 characters). | 12345678901234567 |
| **Address** | Must contain 5–200 characters and cannot be only numbers. | 123 Main Street, Orlando |
| **Bank Account Routing Type 1** | Must be exactly aba. | aba |
| **Bank Account Routing Value 1** | 9-digit routing number. | 123456789 |
| **Bank Country** | Use the 2-letter ISO country code (e.g., US, SG, AU). | US |
| **Bank Local Clearing System** | Choose one of: ACH, FEDWIRE, or FEDNOW. | ACH |
| **Beneficiary Country** | Use the 2-letter ISO country code. | US |
| **City** | 1–50 characters. | Miami |
| **Currency** | Use a valid ISO 3-letter currency code. | USD |
| **Date of Birth** | Format: YYYY-MM-DD (only if applicable). | 1980-03-25 |
| **Email** | Must be a valid email address format. | [example@email.com](mailto:example@email.com) |
| **Entity Type** | Can be any valid entity type name. | Individual |
| **Nickname** | Optional short name for reference. | Main Vendor |
| **Payment Channel** | Must be either LOCAL or SWIFT. | LOCAL |
| **Postcode** | Must be 5 digits or 5+4 ZIP format. | 12345 or 12345-6789 |
| **State or Province** | Use U.S. state code (e.g., US-FL, US-NY). | US-FL |
**Important Note:**
- For **US bank accounts**, the routing type should always be aba.
- Make sure your **postcode** matches the ZIP format without any spaces! (either 12345 or 12345-6789).
### Common errors
Below are some common errors and how you can resolve them:
| **Error Message** | **Possible Cause** | **Resolution** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Invalid routing value | The routing number is not 9 digits | Recheck and enter exactly 9 digits |
| Invalid postcode | ZIP format incorrect | Enter 5 or 9-digit ZIP (e.g., 12345 or 12345-6789) |
| Invalid DOB format | Wrong date format | Use YYYY-MM-DD |
| Address invalid | Only numbers entered | Add letters or a full address |
